Ian is an ASE certified service advisor and has held many positions in the automotive industry from technician to service manager, parts dept and even warranty administration. 

Ian’s extensive hands-on experience allows him to keep the shop running smoothly while also handling service estimates with expert-level insight. As the main point of communication between our technicians and customers, he ensures that every client is well-informed and confident in the care their vehicle receives. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Jose Gonzalez brings a strong sense of discipline, service, and technical expertise to the Coastal Auto Repair team. After graduating from Southwest High School in 2012, Jose joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 2013, serving with honor until 2022. During his military service, he earned a degree in Liberal Arts with a focus in Math and Science from Southwestern College and graduated top of his class in firearms training at the 66th Southwestern College Police Academy. Jose’s journey into the automotive industry began at just 12 years old, mentored by his stepfather Mario, now his coworker at Coastal Auto Repair. Since then, Jose has built a strong foundation of professional knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, earning multiple certifications from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Today, Jose is dedicated to using his skills and training to help people every day, delivering high-quality repairs and exceptional customer care. His combination of technical expertise, lifelong passion, and commitment to service makes him a standout technician and a valued part of our team.

Will has been a key part of the Coastal Auto Repair team for the past two years, bringing energy, reliability, and a strong work ethic to every job. As a skilled auto technician, he completes oil changes quickly and efficiently, ensuring every vehicle leaves the shop in top condition. Will is also ASE A5 certified in Brakes, which reflects his advanced knowledge and ability to perform thorough brake inspections and expertly replace brake components helping keep our customers safe on the road. With a growing skill set and a hands-on approach, Will continues to expand his knowledge by assisting with a variety of other repair tasks alongside our experienced team.

With over 40 years of experience in the automotive industry, Kevin brings unmatched expertise and professionalism to Coastal Auto Repair. He holds a prestigious Ferrari Classiche Inspector Certification, a testament to his deep knowledge of high-performance and classic vehicles. At the front of the shop, Kevin is often the first friendly face customers see. He handles customer service with precision and care, coordinating service needs and ensuring a smooth experience from start to finish. Kevin will get you checked in and checked out as easily as possible, making sure your visit is hassle-free. His seasoned insight and dedication ensure every customer receives top-tier service the moment they walk through the door.

With 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, Mario brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every job he takes on. For the past three years, he has been an essential part of the Coastal Auto Repair team, known for his ability to handle the most complex repairs in the shop. From engine swaps and transmission replacements to other major mechanical overhauls, Mario tackles each challenge with confidence and precision. His extensive background allows him to diagnose and execute high-level repairs efficiently, ensuring vehicles are back on the road safely and running like new. Mario’s skill, experience, and reliability make him a crucial asset to both our team and our customers.

Marco has been a dedicated member of the Coastal Auto Repair team for over three years, consistently delivering high-quality workmanship across all aspects of automotive repair. Whether it’s diagnostics, engine work, brakes, or electrical systems, Marco handles every job with precision and care. Tank is our lovable American Bulldog/Old English Bulldog mix and one of the shop’s most loyal companions. With his laid-back attitude and love for chewing on just about anything he can find, Tank keeps the Coastal Auto Repair crew smiling. Friendly with everyone and always happy to hang out, he’s a big softie who makes customers feel right at home.
